In fact, doing so might have been impossible, and the Salarians had to prepare for a grindy campaign, just like the Alliance and the Turians. ![]() The Reapers were a totally unknown enemy, and the Salarians failed to gather enough intel to make a pre-emptive strike to cripple the enemy's war machine. This usually works, but against the Reapers, the Salarian Union was forced to play a different game. The Salarians don't fight any battle that they aren't guaranteed to win, and they always strike first to catch the enemy unaware. Against other races and civilizations, the Salarians can prepare for war and cover every imaginable angle before a single shot is fired, thus tilting the conflict in their favor before it even begins. They are also known for their keen minds for science. By default, the Salarians prioritize technology, covert operations and intelligence gathering over brute force or gung-ho military tactics. ![]()
